Terre des Hommes Netherlands (Earth for Mankind) is a Dutch organization
founded in 1965 as a non-profit organization. Terre des Hommes
Netherlands aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children
in difficult circumstances all over the world, regardless of race, faith
and/or political orientation and to have their rights as laid down in
the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child protected and assured.
Terre des Hommes Netherlands was recently awarded funding for `Wordt Vervolgd' (`To be Continued') a three year project to protect children from foreign and local sex offenders in eight locations in India, Indonesia, Nepal and Philippines through special investigation teams that gather evidence, build cases and ultimately prosecute perpetrators.
Terre des Hommes Netherlands is currently looking for a Project Coordinator, who will be based at the regional office Jakarta.
The project coordinator will have the responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the `Wordt Vervolgd' project ensuring consistency with donor requirements, Terre des Hommes Netherlands strategy, commitments and goals. Represent Terre des Hommes Netherlands at relevant forums and functions in relation to the project. He/she will ensure effective and efficient project implementation, a supportive partnership environment and contribute to networking, fundraising and a supportive partnership environment.

Knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of development cooperation, sociology, child rights, child exploitation (sexual abuse of children) issues at bachelor level with a track record of at least three years .
- Knowledge of and experience in project planning, project cycle management and logical framework approach, including financial management
- Knowledge of the political, religious and social structures of the respective countries/ region is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English, Dutch is an asset
This position requires frequent travel within Asia.
Our offer This position is a local position for which local remuneration and secondary benefits apply. We offer a salary in accordance with the labour market in the range of IDR 12,5 million – IDR 15 million depending on experience and a contribution towards the costs of a health, and travel scheme. You will be contracted for 1 year, including a three months probation period with the possibility for extension. Starting date 1 April 2013.
