STRATEGIC ALLIANCE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
The Strategic Alliance Associate Director is responsible for all aspects of a strategic corporate engagement which include developing strong relationships across all parties internally and externally, including the corporation and TNC team, ensuring impeccable project management, high quality deliverables and on time delivery.
The Strategic Alliance Associate Director supports the Director of External Affairs to identify funding opportunities, develops collaborations with the private sector, and manages these programs for success and further replication. The position works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and communicates effectively, particularly with senior executives, global colleagues and partners. S/he will provide strategic oversight, develop active corporate prospects and major donors. S/he will create and implement strategies for cultivation, solicitation and closure, as well as set and achieve annual targets and goals. This position includes both external and internal aspects, managing a portfolio of corporate prospects and directing key aspects of corporate relations.

Duties include:
- Raise revenue and deliver cost-effective strategies to meet fundraising objectives, keeping abreast of new and best practices in local and global markets for appropriate strategies to implement;
- Manage current and initiate new relationships with corporate partners (i) to achieve the adoption of more sustainable practices within their respective businesses and (ii) increase funding to sustain the environmental and conservation work represented by TNC Indonesia;
- Develop, launch and manage corporate engagement products;
The Strategic Alliance Associate Director is based in Jakarta and reports to the Director of External Affairs.

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field and 8 - 10 years’ work experience in marketing, business development and/or corporate fundraising, preferably within an extractive industry (oil, gas, mining, chemicals, oil palm and other agribusinesses) or consumer goods or financial industry
- Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results
- Successful experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors
- Knowledge of current trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns, major gifts and planned giving. Working knowledge or ability to learn basics of charitable gift planning
- Demonstrated ability to relate to, connect with and understand the needs and interest of prospective corporate donors
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing strategic and tactical plans for corporate partnerships and sponsorships with both near and long term perspectives
- Established professional networks within the philanthropic community of corporations to support and enhance outreach capability
- Supervisory experience, including ability to motivate, lead, set objectives, and manage performance, including conflict resolution
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and marshal resources. Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to positively influence and persuade
