YKAN is an affiliate of The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a science-based organization and experienced in advancing conservation throughout the world since 1951.We currently have an opening for: GRANTS SPECIALIST (2 openings)
The Grants Specialist is the primary point of contact and is directly responsible for the administration of all aspects of publicly funded awards, including review of proposals and preparation of budgets, set-up in central finance systems, preparation and submission of all invoices and financial reports to agencies, and maintenance of master award files. They work closely with award managers to ensure that the terms and conditions of agreements are met and properly documented and communicates directly with the agency contracting officers to clarify or negotiate financial and administrative requirements.
The Grants Specialist is also directly responsible for the administrative aspects of grants out to grantee organizations, including assistance with due diligence activities, preparation and revision of agreements, review of invoices and financial report, and maintenance of grant files. They provide assistance to staff in their specialty area and respond to moderately complex employee/management questions and problems based on advanced knowledge of the subject area.
Position location is flexible with strong preference given to Jakarta, Indonesia or an established Nature Conservancy office within TNC’s Asia Pacific Region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis.
- Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports and financial management tools.
- Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices and regulations.
- Experience, coursework or other training with applicable U.S. Federal government Uniform Guidance, state and local regulations, multilateral organization and international government regulations, and standard contract clauses.
