Save the Children Job Vacancy: Middle Donor Officer, Jakarta

MIDDLE DONOR OFFICER
1 (one) position based in Jakarta CO

ROLE PURPOSE:
Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (Save the Children Indonesia) is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Member”. As ‘Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focusses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle-income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set Indonesia on a pathway to full membership.

The role holder will responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Save the Children new and existing middle donors. In day to day this role will be focus on cultivating, soliciting and stewarding mid-level donors. Middle Donor Officer also expected to maximize middle donor potentials by creating engagement strategy and activity concept in order to increase fundraising potential and performance.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or relevant field
  • Min three (3) years experience in related field
  • Proven working experience as public relations or customer relations
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Familiarity with social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc) and email marketing platform
  • Aptitude in presentation and public speaking
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
  • Strategical thinking with analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills
  • Understand NGO and social works in Indonesia, and basic knowledge about fundraising activities, principles, techniques and best practices
  • Highly self-motivated, well organized and able to manage several jobs at one time
EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Essential:
  • Hands-on experience in public relations activity, customer relationship, journalism or related fields
  • Experienced in planning and executing event and meeting with mid-level people
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Agile, deadline driven, and have can-do attitude
  • Understand the different language style that appeal to various type of people
Desirable:
  • Addressing donor concerns
  • Excellent communicator and influencing skills
  • Facing the challenging and immovable constraints with can-do attitude, positive and creative minds
