Content Specialist Consultant

Background:
Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a Member. As Member, Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
The objective of consultancy
- The role will support Marketing and Communications Coordinator to maximise income generation for Save the Children in Indonesia by developing and delivering effective content to existing and potential stakeholder
- The role will support Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the on-going creation and evaluation of marketing and communications activities to maximise opportunities for promoting the charity and build links and existing donors (individual and corporations)
- This role requires creativity to support Marketing and Communications Coordinator to develop high quality communications, including plans, materials and messages for all fundraising activities in order to increase support for Save the Children in Indonesia
Deliverables
- Create content for fundraising print, web and social media marketing materials, and organise distribution.
- Raise Save the Children in Indonesia fundraising profile through marketing communication materials, to produce emotive and motivating stories and materials that represent the work of our charity for a variety of fundraising activity.
- Ensure communication activities are carried out with sensitivity to the people we support and in keeping with Save the Children guidelines.
- Work with across fundraising unit (individual and corporate program) and communication unit to deliver marketing communication plan plans, including developing messages, general copywriting, writing content for the website and social media for fundraising.
- Liaise with communication unit to use case study of Save the Children for media, marketing and publicity purposes to raise the profile of the organisation.
Scope of Work:
The selected consultant agrees to do works as follow:
- Discuss with YSTC team to develop consultancy detail plan.
- Develop content for daily individual fundraising
Proposed Timeline and working days (accumulative):
Accumulative 90 working days, from January - March 2019
Expected consultant:
- Degree level qualification in communications, PR, marketing or advertising within 2 years' experience
- Experience in or aptitude for fundraising/generation income will be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of copy writing for a range of audience; proven ability to write about complex issues clearly and effectively
- Experience of creating content for and using social media channels for PR purposes
