BACKGROUND
What is Program Coordinator for WFK?
WFK (World Friends Korea) Program, operated by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is the volunteer dispatch program of the Government of Republic of Korea to Indonesia. Annually, 50 to 100 volunteers and advisors are dispatched to Indonesia for the activities in the field, especially concerning Korean Language, Computer/IT, Social Welfare, etc. We are now working with ministries and regional government concerned across Java, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, NTT. KOICA is a government agency under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Korean Government. KOICA has played its role as an implementing organization of the Korean Government’s bilateral grant aid and technical cooperation programs to the developing countries.

The officer will assist WFK Program Managers in managing all WFK dispatch process including visa, field survey, dispatch, MONEV, safety management of volunteers and completion of small-scale projects. The Program Officer will work closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (visa matters), State Secretariat (as our vocal facilitator), Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, Indonesian National Police, and related ministries of WFK dispatch field and safety management. He/she will also manage some WFK documents filing.

QUALIFICATION
The selected individual shall meet the following minimum criteria:

EDUCATION
  1. Master Degree/ Bachelor’s degree or with relevant major and related fields
  2. Public administration or business administration are preferred
EXPERIENCE
  1. Three (3) or above years careers or experience in other International government or non-government donor agencies on volunteer management is preferred
  2. Enough experience in government administration tasks is preferred
  3. Fluency in written and spoken English
  4. Good skills in Korean language is preferable
SCOPE OF WORKS (Scope of works is including below ones but not limited)
  1. Understand and implement the SOP of visa application process
  2. Institutional/system improvement related to volunteer management.
  3. Networking and cooperating with relevant line ministries.
  4. Monitoring and evaluation of volunteer program.
  5. Providing the regular report to KOICA supervisors about update on assignment letter and visa issues as well as volunteer activities.
  6. Regular and constant environment checking with the host organization when volunteer dispatched
  7. Support administrative things for WFK volunteer when finishing their duty, changing the location of their duty, extension of their duty, etc. (e.g. visa extension, etc.)
  8. Monitoring and response to natural disasters, political disruption and other situations related to safety of volunteers and office workers, and issuing safety issue monitoring reports regularly
  9. Networking and making cooperation with relevant ministries to safety issues
EXPECTED DURATION OF ASSIGMENT
The selected candidate will be assigned for one year with the possibility of extension

REMUNERATION
We offer basic salary 12.000.000 and attractive remuneration package outpatients medical reimbursement, hospitalization, and life insurance. Subject to good performance during the probation.
