KEHATI Job Vacancy: M&E Officer Program Blue Abadi Fund, Jakarta

Yayasan KEHATI or the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation is an independent, non-profit, self-sustained Conservation Trust Fund working in the area of biodiversity conservation and biological resources management. The foundation aims to support and promote efforts for the conservation and sustainable use of Indonesia’s rich biological resources, by providing financial support, technical assistance, and facilitation to local communities, academic and scientific institutions and civil society organizations in Indonesia.


KEHATI is now inviting professionals to apply for the following position:

Launched in February 2017, the Blue Abadi Fund is a dedicated conservation trust fund for the Bird’s Head Seascape (BHS). It was designed to provide a secure and steady long-term flow of fund to ensure that marine ecosystems and species of the BHS are sustainably managed and protected by local environmental stewards, providing benefits to local communities. Yayasan KEHATI was appointed as BAF Administrator and under direction of a multi-stakeholder Blue Abadi Governance Committee.

Scope of Work:
Under the supervision of the Team Leader, M&E Officer is responsible for helping to communicate the BAF Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan implementation, for providing information of project progress undertaken by organizations receiving fund from Blue Abadi.

S/he will be responsible to review all grant implementation reports produced by grantees, fulfilment to required Performance Achievement Matrix, and ensuring the MoV (means of verification) availability and reasonableness. S/he will contribute to writing monthly update, quarterly and annual report that should be submitted to both USAID and Governance Committee by BAF Administrator.

Key Qualifications:
  1. Indonesian citizen, well behaved, loyalty, honest.
  2. Male and Female, minimum age 25 years
  3. Have a good understanding of Fisheries and Environmental Conservation in West Papua.
  4. Experienced at least 3 (three) years in the field of fisheries and/or marine conservation.
  5. Place of duty in Sorong, Papua Barat and willing to travel service to BHS areas.
  6. Having a minimum education background of (S-2) Master Degree of Fisheries, and/or Marine Conservation, Marine Management, knowledge in monitoring is preferable.
  7. Accustomed and able to create program reports.
  8. Able to write and speak in English fluently.
  9. Female and Papuan candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
