Catholic Relief Services Job Vacancies: DRR Project Officer and Digital Archiving Consultant, Palu - Sulawesi

CRS has been operating in Indonesia since 1957 under the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Social Affairs to provide both humanitarian response and long-term development to the most vulnerable communities. CRS Indonesia’s current strategy includes emergency preparedness and response, disaster risk reduction, and integrated agriculture and livelihoods.

Disaster Risk Reduction Program Officer positions to be based in Palu to support our response for the recent Sulawesi tsunami & earthquake:

Disaster Risk Reduction Program Officer (DRR-PO)
The program officer will support senior program officer in implementation of the project activities in collaboration with Implementing Partners and other relevant stakeholders including community leaders and members in the target areas. The Program Officer will also organize and coordinate project activities at community level under guidance from the DRR-SPO and in consultation with implementing partners, BPBD and community local leaders, including facilitation of various DRR and Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC) trainings at the community level. This position will be based in Palu, with regular travel to, Donggala and Sigi for implementation of program activities, coordination meetings with related stakeholders and other implementing partners.

Specific Qualifications:
  1. Graduate degree (S1) in development, social sciences or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of professional experience in the technical area of DRR, including Community-based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM), preferably working experience in international NGO and has experience in managing community saving and lending group
  3. Skill and experience in partnership/working with/facilitating local NGO partner
  4. Strong skills and broad experience in community organizing
  5. Has strong skills in training facilitation including developing training plan and modules
  6. Has experience in applying participatory tools and is able to facilitate Focus Group Discussion (FGD), interview, observation and survey.
General Qualifications:
  1. Demonstrate qualities of oral and written communication skills, cultural sensitivity; ability to work in teams, and operate in emergency environments
  2. Strong analytical, organizational, management, and leadership skills
  3. Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including web-based survey tools
  4. Good command of Bahasa Indonesia and English both oral and writing
  5. Experienced in emergency response is preferable
Digital Archiving Consultant (Job Code: DAC) for 2 (two) months services (With Possibility Extension) who has experience with sorting and scanning documents and putting the scanned documents into specific folder on CRS Cloud systems.

Job Summary:
The Consultants will be in charges for Finance Documents, Program Documents and Operations Files. Each Consultant will be responsible for sorting and scanning documents approved by CRS Indonesia, reporting their daily progress on the assigned duties based on documents number, date and classification (Finance, Program or Operation) and putting the scanned documents into specific folder on CRS Cloud systems.

Deliverables
  1. CRS Indonesia files in hardcopies already scanned and transform into PDF files.
  2. Storage in secure cloud system
  3. Indexed number applied either in soft copy or hard copy
  4. Archiving boxes labelled with “Complete” sticker.
Consultant Qualifications
CRS Indonesia is seeking individual professional Consultant with the following qualifications:
  1. He/she has excellent skill and experiences in operating Laptop, Scanner and Microsoft programs.
  2. Most preferably who have experience working in sorting out, filing and indexing large quantity of printed documents into electronic copies.
  3. Willing to work under tight schedule base on the roles and responsibilities described in this SoW
  4. Willing to work independently
