ZSL Indonesia Job Consultant: Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation - Data Management, Palembang

The Zoological Society of London is an international wildlife conservation organization with a focus on science-based and pragmatic solutions. ZSL has been active in Indonesia for about 10 years, with a particular focus on the overlap between industrial development and biodiversity conservation. ZSL Indonesia is based in Bogor, West Java, with existing field projects in Jambi and South Sumatera.

ZSL Indonesia is a highly diverse programme with projects involving climate change, public-private-people partnerships, sustainable landscape management, in addition to species conservation (namely the Sumatran tiger), protected area management, and combatting wildlife crime.


The UKCCU/NICFI Project works with the Government of South Sumatra, national and district level governments, communities and the private sector to facilitate and support the government, private sector and local communities, to establish and pilot the sustainable landscape management partnership approach in the Sembilang-Dangku landscape of South Sumatra. The proposed impact of this project is to achieve “Inclusive economic growth and community prosperity, biodiversity conservation, forest protection and restoration, and the ending of deforestation, peatland drainage and wildfires that contribute to land-based Greenhouse Gas emissions”.

We are now looking for:
Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation – Data Management Consultant

Terms and Condition

  4. Reporting to: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Key Purpose of the Job
KS project data which is spreading in various document that have been producing during project implementation, it’s necessary to examine and store in one place as database, thus measuring process can conduct optimal.

Monitoring and Evaluation is a unit that responsible to collect, analyze and evaluate the data.

Beside effort to consolidate the data from 5 thematic in KS project, monitoring and evaluation also need to monitor the performance project into the quality level. 12 months project remain to March 2020, KS is in process in build the data system functioning for various need such; reporting, measuring the result, analysis and final evaluation.

Scope of Work:
M&E Assistant – Data Management responsible to support the monitoring and evaluation specialist as follow:
  1. Collect project data from 5 thematic; Livelihood, Production, Conservation, Institution and Knowledge Management
  2. Collect partners data
  3. Maintain the existing data of project with high quality (valid and accurate)
  4. Produce the simple analysis for internal necessary
  5. Support the M&E activities beside data management, such: involve the survey, arrange meeting and event, produce simple repot and others technical works
  6. During perform as M&E assistant, the consultant will coordinate with the internal staff in the project including.
Deliverables:
  1. Up dated tabulation from 5 thematic; Livelihood, Production, Conservation, Institution and Knowledge Management
  2. Report/document that contain the summary and analysis of project performance base on thematic data.
  3. Update tabulation from partners
  4. Report that contain summary and analysis of project performance base on partners data. 
Technical report in support the M&E Specialist/Coordinator

Recruitment Qualification:
Education
Degree in Statistic, Mathematic, Agriculture, Forestry or relevant education background for the position.

Functional Competencies:
  1. Good in Microsoft office, particularly in word, excel.
  2. Good in SPSS
  3. Good in statistic, math, calculation and number
  4. Good in data analysis
  5. Good in report writing, particularly in Indonesia. 
  6. Good in using the information technology platform
Behavioral Competencies:
Detail person.
  1. Good communication with other people from multiply background 
  2. Show positive attitude, active communicate in a team, good in information sharing and show a good team work.
  3. Focus with the main work, determine the priority and deliver high quality
