We currently have several openings for:
TUNA CONSORTIUM SENIOR MANAGER
The Tuna Consortium Senior Manager (TCSM) will supervise day-to-day operations of a secretariat / program management unit that is hosted by YKAN. S/He will lead operational aspects of collaboration with the Consortium members, as well as other stakeholders in government and private sector. The TCSM will work with relevant Indonesia Oceans Program (IOP) staffs as well as TNC Relationship Managers in responding to donors’ reporting requirements and inquiries.
This may include one or more of the following functions:
- Lead consortium partners in annual work plan development and monitor progress
- Identify opportunities for collaboration among partners where there are overlaps or synergies in planned activities
- Communicate with consortium partners on reporting requirements, work with TNC Relationship Managers on timely submission of reports
- Leading or co-facilitating meetings with private sector, government, and other NGOs
- Providing programmatic content for progress reports and work plans (in collaboration with other TNC IOP team members)
This position reports to the Sustainable Fisheries Program Director. S/he is based in Jakarta (70%) with frequent travel to Bali and other sites (30%), Indonesia.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and 7 years’ experience in conservation practice or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience..
- Fundraising experience, including identifying donor prospects and donor cultivation
- Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including managing finances and coordinating the work of other professionals and partners.
- Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.
- Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community groups and/or government agencies.
- Experience negotiating.
- Is authorized working in Indonesia.
OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for performing multiple administrative functions related to Jakarta Office and the assigned program. S/he may be responsible for scheduling and coordinating logistics for special events and/or meetings, store and control all merchandise. S/he will seek outside vendor for venue for event or meeting, including find additional car rental, or rent other common equipment related to event or meeting.
S/he will responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of Jakarta office, include coordination with building management on repair and maintenance of electricity and air condition inside Jakarta office. Prepare annual maintenance schedule and seek budget approval for office cleaning maintenance of the interior infrastructure (carpet, doors, door handle, furniture, pantry appliances and other), contact other required third party such as pest control, interior contractor; and monitor the implementation of the approved schedule and budget.
S/he will be the point contact for purchasing process for supplies, inventory, and other goods (including prepare Purchase Order, keep Delivery Order from vendor), coordinate with IT and Operations Team in other office to maintain Inventory list for the Organization.
S/he will manage central filing including for incoming and outgoing letter/fax correspondence, mailroom operations, data storage including coordination with document management company (Indo Arsip). Review the current documentation flow and suggest more efficient way of documentation flow.
S/he will work with other Operations team in Jakarta (IT, driver, Operations Officer) to ensure good vehicle management in place, telecommunications, internet connections, printers and copy machine ready for daily use. Participate in any meeting and follow up action to improve the effectiveness of all operations activity in Jakarta office.
S/he will work cooperatively with other staff, providing information necessary to make decisions and solve problems. The position may communicate on behalf of the supervisor with internal and external sources, including staff, vendors, and business relations in order to coordinate arrangements, convey information, and ensure successful execution of program.
The Operations Coordinator is based in Jakarta and reports to the Accounting & Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data.
- Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
- Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement.
- Experience with current technology in relevant field.
