UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan Job Vacancy: Finance Operations Manager, Yogyakarta

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan (UCPRUK) mission is to provide affordable, high quality adaptive wheelchair for people with disability with main goal to develop sustainable wheelchair service provision in Indonesia. UCPRUK strategy and objective includes: Develop networks of wheelchair service providers by providing Wheelchair Service Provision Training, Advocate for inclusion of adaptive wheelchairs and other assistive device into government health care and social protection program. UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan distributed adaptive wheelchairs for person with disability to various region in Indonesia. UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan operates warehouse, and logistic center in Yogyakarta with storage capacity of 1,000 unit.

Summary:
The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee all financial, administrative, and operations aspects of UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan (UCP). The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee grant accounting with various compliance requirements, inventory management, payroll, creation of financial statements, grant reporting, database oversight and a variety of adminstrative supervision.

The Finance and Operations Manager will be report directly to National Director, with guidance and direction provided by the Director of Finance and Operations at UCP Wheels headquarters in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over day to day management of Finance and Operations which include finance, accounting, operations, administration, and warehouse. And governance and control over organization resources
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
  • Supervise, coaching, guiding, and motivating team member.
  • Develop annual budget plan as well as budget absorption report and provide variance analysis for external and internal stakeholder
  • Oversight and quality control over accounting system as to ensure Organization Accounting process are in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Establishes system controls over financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
  • Supervise monthly end closing and review both preliminary financial and final financial report prior of being release to stakeholders.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
  • Responsible for the procurement and tracking of wheelchair inventory, both In-Kind and purchased, for the Indonesia office, including processing VAT exemptions under USAID policy. Direct and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.

Technical Knowledge:
  • Financial accounting standards (PSAKs) or GAAP required.
  • Knowledge of Indonesia tax laws and reporting requirements required. Grant or fund accounting preferred.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree (M.B.A.) or equivalent preferred.r Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience in a USAID or other international donor-funded project.
Computer Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel; Quickbooks accounting software (or similar accounting software).
Oral/Written Communication:
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia. Proficiency in written and oral English required.
