Mercy Corps Indonesia Job Vacancy: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant - Disaster Response, Palu

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will support Monitoring, Evaluation, and learning officer to ensure that at least 1,000 rice/corn/cacao farming in two subdistricts will be participating in the demo the plot, harvest and training activities, collect baseline and end-line data (qualitative and quantitative)  using the digital data collection application. S/he will assist to coordinate the MEL strategies and activities with the Agriculture Program Officer, Agriculture finance officer to ensure the quantitative and qualitative program data are available to produce the program reports, regular program monitoring, program evaluation, capture and share the program lesson learn.
*This position will be hired as temporary staff for 11 months
Qualifications:
  • Possess a relevant university degree, especially Statistics or Mathematics degrees or related field
  • Familiar with research methodologies or have experience in project research.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in monitoring and evaluation, especially for the economic development programs.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, highly desired.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills including problem-solving skills, being proactive and taking initiative.
  • Expertise and skills in the development and implementation of M&E plans, assessments, baseline, and end-line surveys, evaluations, using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Expertise and skills in the analysis of collected data and compiling findings in clear and structured reports. Familiar or have experience applying the digital data collection method becomes an advantage for this position.
  • Ability to work with computer programs typically used for data management, digital data collection, analysis, and reporting, such as ONA/ODK/Enketo, Excel/SPSS/R.
  • Computers skills with strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Priority will be given to the local resident
