Human Resources Professional (Recruitment & Training)
Responsibilities
The incumbent will perform the scope of the following tasks, but is not limited to:
- Is the central contact for management and staff for all HR questions, specifically recruitment and selection and professional development measures;
- Organises and directs the recruitment and hiring process in accordance with GIZ standards;
- Ensures that the training developed meets the needs of each functions/units and is aligned with the goals of the business.
- Acts independently and integrates others who have been assigned HR tasks.
The HR Professional performs the following tasks:
Tasks
Personnel recruitment
- Organises and directs the recruitment and hiring process in accordance with GIZ standards.
- Advises managers on drawing up requirement profiles and formulates appropriate job descriptions in consultation with them.
- Grades positions together with the manager based on the profiles developed and sets benchmark values for appropriate remuneration levels in individual cases.
- Searches for suitable staff in accordance with the requirements for the positions (identifies existing GIZ HR resources in the country and/or region, writes job advertisements and ensures publication in appropriate print and/or online media).
- Promote the company image to candidates and external service providers.
- Evaluates applications received and shortlists candidates on the basis of the requirements or hiring criteria, obtains references, and conducts preliminary discussions.
- Organises personnel selection (e.g. applicant interviews) and advises if necessary, on selection.
- Utilize creative, professional and ethical recruiting methods to identify top performing candidates.
- May conduct employment background checks.
- Notifies unsuccessful applicants, documents the selection process, archives the documentation and enters the data in existing HRM systems.
- Make monthly recruitment report.
- Identifying training needs based on the staff assessment and development talk;
- Creating training materials and methodology;
- Administering and monitoring trainings;
- Give suggestion on selecting and managing training vendors;
- Conduct trainings; create the training material and introduction for new recruit NPs;
- Make monthly training report.
- Administer, check and collect all Staff Assessment and Development Talk forms;
- Compile the ratings of all Staff Assessment and Development Talk forms for the purpose and submit to the HR Manager.
- Replacing other Recruitment staff tasks, when the other Recruitment staff not available.
- Performs other duties and tasks as the request of management.
Required qualifications, competences and experience
Formal Education
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in psychology, business administration, economics or sociology (focus on HR management).
Professional Experience
- At least 5 years’ professional experiences in a comparable position
Other Qualifications
- Working experience in International organization preferable in the bilateral organization (G2G) or comparable.
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
- Familiar with HR procedures.
- Good English conversation and written skills.
- must be aware of privacy concerns and the importance of keeping information confidential;
- Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems (telephone, fax, e-mail, internet and its software)
- Good working knowledge of computer programs (e.g. MSOffice)
- Good working knowledge of hotel and flight reservation
- Able to present themselves well and have good communication skills.
