KOMPAK Program
KOMPAK is an Australia-Indonesia government partnership supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts in reducing poverty through improvements in basic service delivery and creating opportunities for work. KOMPAK focuses its efforts on three result areas:
  • Supporting Local Governments and Service Units to better address the needs of basic service users;
  • Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from improved village governance; and
  • Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from increased opportunities for employment and economic development.
The Opportunity
The Village & Kecamatan Information System Specialist is responsible for consolidating all work related to KOMPAK support to the Aceh and District/City Governments in the implementation of the Village Information System, specifically technical assistance to support the implementation of information system policies and governance at the village, sub-district, district and province.
Key Duties
  • Develop an effective and efficient learning model for improving the use of village and sub-district information system applications
  • Facilitate the learning process and improve operator skills at the village level regarding the use of village information system applications
  • Facilitate the learning process at the District level and improve operator skills related to the use of sub-district information system applications (Kecamatan Dashboard)
  • Provide technical input for application development both at the provincial and district levels as needed
  • Periodically together with the Kecamatan ensure that village data and information are available and updated by the village
  • Conduct periodic analysis and provide input to the KOMPAK Team about the application of the gampong information system and the District Dashboard
  • Providing support for solving technical problems in the aspects of gampong information system governance and district information systems
  • Providing quality assurance to KOMPAK provincial offices and district locations for implementing activities to ensure the implementation of field-level activities in accordance with KOMPAK's strategic framework of village information systems and sub-district information systems
  • Comply with all specific guidelines, policies and procedures (HR, finance, grants, procurement, etc.) KOMPAK, for all work related to their thematic fields
  • Work closely with the KOMPAK Aceh team and other KOMPAK National and provincial teams to ensure exchange of learning and experience between districts about village and sub-district information systems
  • Conduct intensive coordination and communication with the District Coordinator in the KOMPAK work area
  • Coordinate continuously with the Kecamatan & Village Strengthening Coordinator at the provincial level and submit issues that can influence the development of the implementation of village and sub-district information system technical support
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Provincial Manager
Key Requirements
  • University graduate with at least 5 years’ working experience on village information system and village governance issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the government regulations, policy and planning processes; particularly related to the issues of village information system
  • Good technical skills regarding village information system related to regulations/policies
  • Good analytical skills and an attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of gender equality and social inclusion issues
