Save the Children Job Vacancy: Project Assistant Adolescent Development - Waikabubak, NTT

Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.

We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

Project Assistant Adolescent Development - Sponsorship
1 position based in Waikabubak, NTT

ROLE PURPOSE:
Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (YSTC) is implementing a ten-year education program on Sumba island, NTT province.  For this project we seek Project Assistants (PA) to work in the field on implementing Adolescent Development quality programs with participating communities and schools.  The PA will support the quality and timely implementation of program activities.  In addition, s/he will facilitate communications with sponsored children and participating communities. Participate in development of annual/monthly workplans, assist in implementing activities in workplans, facilitate monitoring and evaluation, represent YSTC with communities, and support communications/monitoring with sponsored children

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:
  • Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Knowledge about Adolescent in Eastern Indonesia
  • At least 2 years work experience with non-government organizations in Eastern Indonesia
  • At least some experience in education programs, preferably with and international NGO
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Preferable English language proficiency
  • Willingness to work in rural and remote areas
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to ride motorcycle and with appropriate license
  • Proven ability to implement activities included in a work plan
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team
