PLAN International Job Vacancy: BLOOM Indonesia Project Coordinator - Flores & Lembata

Yayasan Plan International Indonesia is presently implementing its country strategic 4 (CS 4) covering fiscal year 2017 to 2022, where the country objective has been defined as “to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society”. An effective and efficient communications strategy is a must for Plan Indonesia to share the outcomes of these projects to influence different actors, specially state authorities and to position Plan’s profile within and outside at different levels – starting from community, sub district, district to national, regional and international levels.

BLOOM Indonesia Project Coordinator  (Flores  & Lembata)
Plan International Indonesia seeks for 2 Project Coordinators (PCs) to join BLOOM Indonesia Project. The PCs will responsible to managethe project partner in Flores and Lembata for certain project planning, implementation and monitoring evaluation at the district level.  The PCs will proactively work to influence, support and capacitate partner and local government,  engage in advocacy, networking and coordination in the district, support partner in the implementation in the district, monitoring all activities implemented by the partner, and ensuring children and young people particularly girls and women are benefiting from the project.
General Management & Coordination Liaise Project Manager to manage project activities managed by Plan (and budget) in Project Implementation Area (PIA) level. Maintain communication and coordination with BLOOM Indonesia Project Manager, FSM in PIA Flores and Lembata, partner’s project coordinator and district government on project related issuesOverall supervision of all activitities including activities of the local partner in each respective PIARegularly coordinating with Partner Project Coordinator on project implementation and Decide Project Coordinator (when required) Support Project Finance & Admin Officer to ensure all assigned functions related to compliance policies, practices and proceduresSupport Project Manager to monitor project the quality of implementation performance in the field in terms of Planning versus SpendingEnsure all project activities implementation is implemented according to Plan International Indonesia Procedures, principles, and standards. Collaboratively working with Decide Project Coordinator on related work (when required)Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to project in each respective PIA.
Planning & Budgeting  Together whith Project Manager and partner Project Coordinator manage the Term of Reference of each project activity of each respective PIA Support Project Manager and Project Finance & Admin Officer in preparation of the project budgets, i.e. budget adjustment and mapping Together with partner Project Coordinator forecasting the cash flow positions of project monthly activities schedule in the respective PIA Support Project Manager to provide and monitor all project planning and implementation progress in PROMPT (Plan project monitoring system)Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to project in each respective PIA.
Payment Processing  Support Project Finance & Admin Officer to ensure all related project activities financial documentation for payment/liquidation in each respective PIA Support Project Finance & Admin Officer to provide Travel Request Form (TRF) and request for their own air ticket direct to the respective vendor.
Reporting Prepare and write monthly and quarterly report, supported by the partner Project Coordinator, to Project Manager according to the agreed deadline.  Support Project Manager to involve in all project contract agreements/amandements – partnership and or consultant.
Administration  Support the project Finance & Admin Officer ensuring the financial report is recorded and documented according to the implementation and expenditureSupport the Project Finance & Admin Officer to oversee and to administer the day-today activities of the project; follow the policies, procedures, and systems of Plan International Indonesia which ensure productive and efficient office operationOrganize and facilitates project meeting, conferences and other special event; coordinate and attends meeting, and participates in discussion as appropriate in PIA level (When required)Support the project Finance & Admin Officer in documenting all project assets in PIA Level (if any)
Qualifications for this post  Education: A minimum of 2 years’ working experience with demonstrated project management skills, Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, the local language, and English, Experience working in development organisationExperience working in a pressure and multi-ethnic area Experience in facilitating trainings and have strong facilitation skillsHave strong coordination and advocacy strategyHave strong problem-solving skills, Experience in budget management, Have strong commitment and willingness and ability to travel to other project area (when required)
