Save the Children Job Vacancy: Shelter Cluster Coordinator, North Donggala - Central Sulawesi

Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
Shelter Cluster Coordinator – North Donggala
1 (one) position in North Donggala

ROLE PURPOSE:
Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (YSTC) is working very closely with Shelter Cluster, humanitarian organizations and Government to implement shelter program. Recently, YSTC has agreed to provide cluster coordination role in Donggala District of Central Sulawesi. Shelter sub-Cluster Coordinator is expected to lead shelter cluster in Donggala district in close coordination with Provincial Shelter sub-Cluster Coordinator. This is the key position to ensure National Shelter sub-Cluster mission to effectively coordinate the shelter response in Donggala district and work to enhance accountability, predictability and effectiveness of the evolving shelter response.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
  • Master’s Degree Engineering/Architecture, Management, or social Science preference will be given for Engineers/Architects.
  • High level of skill on humanitarian coordination specifically with Shelter partners.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in emergency preparedness or response.
  • Candidates with knowledge and experience on Disaster Risk Management will be given priority.
  • Knowledge on cluster approach, 3W and data analysis will be an asset
  • High level of interpersonal skill as this position needs to work very closely with dozens of shelter partners.
  • Candidates with international job exposure will be given priority.
  • High level of speaking and writing skill in English is essential.
