in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a
national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and
self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC
Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As
‘Prospect
Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new
member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our
voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has
been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising
locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable
local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong
local governance structure and building key partnerships with local
government, the private sector, local civil society
among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a
pathway to full membership.
We are currently seeking to fill the
following position:
IT Coordinator – Central Sulawesi

ROLE PURPOSE:
As the IT
Coordinator at Palu Office, with supervision from Support Services
Manager, the post holder will be responsible to establish and
maintaining
effective IT and communication services in both Palu and Field Offices
in Donggala and North Donggala and maintaining contacts with external
technology solution providers. The IT Coordinator is expected to work in
close cooperation with Coordinators and Managers
in the field offices. The post holder will engage closely with IT
Manager in proposing solutions, implementation of IT Policies and
Security standards, changing and leading continuous improvement for
within IT areas. The post holder will provide first line
of support Palu Office and provide first and second line support to
field office teams when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT Management or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT in NGO environment
- Experience working in Microsoft Windows Server system with Active Directory environment
- Experience working with basic networking products (Router, Firewall)
- Strong understanding in Windows Server/Active Directory, Email/Exchange & LAN/WAN, MS Office products
- Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams during emergencies
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Previous experience of managing a team and ability to motivate and develop others.
- Ability and confidence to communicate appropriately with people of all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to analyse information, evaluate options
- Experience in general IT Management
Desirable
- Exposure to the non-profit sector and/or developing countries is preferred
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Experience of implementing IT policies and procedures
- Experience in Application development desireable
