WWF-Indonesia, an independent national conservation organization, is
part of a global network of WWF. WWF-ID is currently seeking for the
best candidate for the position of Freshwater Stakeholder Engagement Specialist. This position will be based in Riau and report to Rimba-Upper Kampar-Tesso Nilo Laandscape Manager
The job holder will be develop policy-based
research and coordinate WWF Indonesia-Freshwater Program activities in
Central Sumatra in achieving sectoral reform but not limited to (fresh
water, forestry, pulp and paper, palm oil) which impact on Freshwater
Ecosystems towards best practices in a sustainable manner in accordance
with WWF Indonesia's conservation strategy, preparing reporting /
reporting in order to contribute to the development of the Freshwater
(DAS) management strategy based on WWF-Indonesia's Strategic plan and
the realization of the WWF-Indonesia's Strategic Plan's Programatic
Outcome and Strategic Outcomes to ensure nature conservation in priority
areas (Riau -Jambi-West Sumatra).
Requirements for This Position are:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree with Foresty, Hidrology, Biology, Ecology, Agriculture Majors (Preferable S2)
- Minimum 5 years for S1 or 3 years for S2, in the field of conservation of living natural resources and their ecosystem, experienced in working with district and provincial governments as well as with communities, NGOs, universities and research institutions.
