Job Description
We are a social enterprise with a mission to work with vulnerable people to build a better future. We specialise in justice, migration and social inclusion. Our expertise is in strategic communications, counselling, consulting, monitoring and evaluation, and research. We work in East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, East Africa, North Africa, the Sahel and Europe.

This role demands someone who is smart, intrinsically motivated, action-oriented, worldly and interested in hard challenges. Seefar has a track record for delivering research projects in East Africa, West Africa, North Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia on migration and human trafficking issues. Our program team requires someone to coordinate all research efforts in-country and with Indonesian migrant workers overseas.

Since 2014, Seefar has looked to contributing meaningful initiatives to tackle exploitation and modern slavery  in East Asia. One such initiative was the regional research report launched in 2015, Modern Slavery in East Asia: Protecting the rights and promoting the autonomy of domestic migrant workers from Indonesia and the Philippines. Research conducted by Seefar contributed to insights into the prevalence and types of exploitation and abuse among domestic workers, creating actionable evidence.

As Indonesia Research Coordinator, you will have overall responsibility for undertaking and delivering similar research in Indonesia and with Indonesian migrant workers in Singapore and Hong Kong. This role will report to the Project Manager East Asia Modern Slavery Research. Your responsibilities will include overseeing data collection, assisting in collecting literature and qualitative insights, quality assurance, preparing presentations, reports and assisting in the distribution and dissemination of information/products. As the on-the-ground coordinator, you will be ensuring all delegated tasks and deliverables are completed within project time frames and with required quality, whilst contributing as a project team and collaborating with others on that team.
