The National Logistics Assistant - ECTAD Programme, under the
overall supervision of the FAO Representative, the general supervision of the
Operations Coordinator and close coordination with the procurement staff and
direct supervision of the National Operations Officer, will provide
logistical supports to the ECTAD programme, in particular: Duties and
Responsibilities:
Warehouse and
distributions related tasks:
- Conducting regular physical inventory of goods in the warehouse and project offices with close coordination with the Inventory Assistant.
- Arrange and monitor incoming and outgoing shipment from/to the warehouse and the project sites and ensuring the receipts of the good delivered are properly recorded/ archived and providing the necessary update to the Inventory Assistant. Providing update on the warehouse stock reports.
- In close coordination with the Programme Assistants and Output team leaders, to draft and prepare the projects distribution plan and ensuring its smooth and timely implementation.
- Determining the proper storage and maintenance of all equipment and supplies.
- Monitor the expiry dates of goods stored at the warehouse and make sure distributions to the field is based on the order of the expiry dates.
- Ensure the most efficient of shipment methods are selected.
- Assist with the maintenance and mobility of the ECTAD office’s satellite phones, GPS and other field equipment stored at FAO ECTAD office Jakarta.
- Assist the project in producing/completing logistical data and information in reports requested by FAO Indonesia, FAO RAP, FAO HQ and donors.
- Support the procurement unit in identifying the potential vendors for logistic related works services when necessary
- Coordinating the project’s vehicles day to day operations, includes; drivers schedule, monitor the vehicle movements
- Verify weekly vehicle log book report
- Verify driver claims for vehicle expenses.

Technical Competencies
and Experience Requirements:
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience of practical field logistics operations preferably including experience with an international organization
- Effective organizational skills and ability to handle volume of work in an efficient and timely manner;
- Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds; good interpersonal and communication skill;
- Good knowledge and understanding in spoken and written English;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
Duty station:
Jakarta, Indonesia with
In-country travel as required
Duration: 3 months initial
contract with possibility of further extension subjects to satisfactory
performance
