ROLE PURPOSE:
The Academy Centre in Indonesia is a branch of the Humanitarian Leadership Academy, a UK based global networked organisation whose mission is to enable people around the world to prepare for and respond to crises in their own countries. The Academy Centre in Indonesia will be a strategic representative office of the Academy, working with organisations from across the not-for-profit, public, technology industry, private sector and universities to help local communities across the world to become more resilient in the face of disaster by promoting and developing existing and new humanitarian preparedness and response focused learning and development opportunities.
In this pivotal post you will report to the Chief Executive of the Humanitarian Leadership Academy and be responsible for a budget of approximately £1m. You will guide the establishment of the Academy Centre’s initial legal structure and the development of the Academy’s business model in Indonesia and over time, in other locations in Asia-Pacific. You will also be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Academy Centre, leading on the development of a strategic business plan and the delivery of the annual and long-term strategic priorities for the Academy Centre.
