Scope of work
- Provide guidance and review of sub-national programs and policies to be linked and supported by the project for better implementation. Support the project in developing sub-national policy such as Governor Decree.
- Help to facilitate communication between the project and landscape stakeholders and ensure that all necessary agreements available.
- Help to ensure that the project is well coordinated with government institutions at district and provincial level, private sectors and donor agencies during the project implementation period.
- Ensure project activities are well coordinated among the local government institutions and support South Sumatra Government’s initiative on sustainable landscape management
- Review reports of sub-national programs and policies; reports on developing sub national policy.
- Coordination works between projects and landscape stakeholders
- Minutes or reports during the engagement process with government both in district and provincial level
- Coordinate project activities that need to align with local government and support South Sumatera government’s initiative
- Recommendations (and recommendation notes) on strategic decisions related to project
- Provide PVR (Project Visit report) on every field trips assigned to the consultant by KS
- Excellent understanding on the issues of landscape governance, sustainability and green growth, esp related to the dynamic of national-subnational relationship
- Good level of engagement and networks in public sectors in both provinces and district level and private sectors in South Sumatera
- High level of understanding in Sustainable Landscape Management issues
- Preferably a high level of written and spoken English;
- Flexible and able to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines; including an ability to prioritize jobs;
- Able to use initiative and work both independently or in a group, such as in remote areas with very limited facilities.
