Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik. To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.

QUALITY OF CARE ADVISOR – MNH*)

ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children Indonesia is currently accepting applications for a Quality of Care Advisor for an anticipated USAID-funded Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) Activity in Indonesia. This 5-year activity will be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to MNH needs in the country, and will leverage the power of the market to implement sustainable and scalable approaches to ensure MN survival, specifically among the poorest and most vulnerable populations in 10 USAID focus provinces (DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, South Sulawesi, Papua, West Papua, Maluku, North Maluku). The activity will implement a process to enable the identification of key service quality gaps and potential solutions, and the adoption and spread of these solutions and innovations through existing and leveraged domestic financing and provide innovators with catalytic funding, technical assistance, opportunities for partnerships, information, and/or other support, aimed at facilitating their ability to achieve sustainable impact at scale.
The Quality of Care Advisor is responsible for developing harmonized strategies, approaches and tools, in collaboration with government counterparts at national and local levels for improving MNH service quality, and for identifying key health system challenges, developing harmonized mechanisms and building capacity to ensure sustained improvements in quality of service in both the public and private sectors. This position will work closely with all technical advisors and will serve as the Secretariat for the Quality of Care Knowledge Hub. The position will report to the MNH Director and be based within the project headquarters in Jakarta and local travel be required. The position is employed by Save the Children/Indonesia and seconded to the project team
