RTI International is one of the world's

In 2011, the U.S. Agency for
International Development (USAID) awarded RTI the ENVISION project (2011-2019).
Building on the achievements and lessons learned from the Neglected Tropical
Disease (NTD) Control Program (2006-2012), ENVISION is designed to continue
support for integrated NTD control at both global and country levels by
empowering national governments to lead their national NTD control programs,
improve local capacity and systems to foster efficient and sustained integrated
NTD control, and scale up the delivery of interventions for several NTDs
targeted by USAID. In Indonesia support
is focused on helping to strengthen the Ministry of Health’s program for the
mass treatment for lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis) leading to elimination
of the disease by 2020.
The ENVISION Project managed by RTI
International is seeking highly qualified Indonesian candidates for the
position of:
Monitoring and Evaluation
Officer
To be responsible for providing support
for a large number and variety of epidemiological surveys to track the status
of specific Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) endemic in Indonesia and to
evaluate the impact of the annual mass drug treatments organized in
collaboration with the Ministry of Health. This officer will also responsible
for assisting with the management of the comprehensive project database and
fulfilling extensive reporting requirements for the project; as well as providing
technical assistance to the Ministry of Health on the management of their NTD
database.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Public Health or
related field, with 3-5 years working experience on survey design,
implementation and evaluation. In-depth knowledge of statistics, survey
methodologies and epidemiology is required. Proven experience in working
collaboratively with Indonesian government units at all levels is also
preferred. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to successfully work
within a team, have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle
multiple, high pressure activities. The candidate must also be fluent in
English and have strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and the
ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse professional
and social backgrounds with a service oriented attitude. Considerable travel up
to 50% time will be required.
