Millennium Challenge Account - Indonesia (MCA-Indonesia) is a trustee institution that represents the Government of Indonesia to implement a five-year (2013-2018) Millennium Challenge Corporation's Compact Program, a major pillar of the United States-Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership and the largest single pledge made by the United States to Indonesia to date.

MCA-Indonesia has three projects under Compact Program: Green Prosperity, Community-based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting and Procurement Modernization. Our projects are designed, managed and implemented by Indonesians, for the Indonesian people. Our most important development work happens where it should be: the districts and the villages. Our goal is to reduce poverty through economic growth. Our program is country-driven, reform-centered, and results-focused in order to maximize its effectiveness and long-term sustainability.

To reach the goal, MCA-Indonesia is seeking highly dynamic and deliverable-oriented professionals for a better Indonesia:

Manager, Community - Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM)

The Manager will be responsible for the execution, monitoring and supervision of the Community based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM) Grant Program component of the Green Prosperity (GP) Project's GP Facility, a financing facility which provides grant funding to support investments in renewable energy, natural resource management and improved land-use practices. The CBNRM Grant Program is one of the three windows of the GP Facility intended to fund smaller-scale projects that promote enhanced management of watersheds and forests at community level (i.e. social forestry), improve the sustainability of renewable energy (i.e. small scale micro hydro and solar photovoltaic power plan), support the community level agriculture investments, and support rural livelihoods and economic development that result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Associate Director of Community-Based Natural Resource Management (ADCBNRM) to undertake program planning, execute the approach and structure, oversight and monitoring the implementation of CBNRM Grant Program, including the Women Economic Empowerment Sub-Grants.
  • Updates the CBNRM Operations Manual that outlines the procedures for the administration and implementation of the CBNRM Grant Program.
  • Manages the contractual relationships and oversight the Grant Program Managers (GPMs), the consultant firms contracted to administer the roll-out and implementation of the CBNRM Grant Program.
