Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for
STTA Landscape Katingan - Kahayan Ecotourism Specialist, Palangka Raya based
on our USAID LESTARI project. USAID’s LESTARI project supports the
Government of Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and
conserve biodiversity in carbon rich
and biologically significant forest and mangrove ecosystems.
Job
Summary: the Ecotourism Specialist will act as the Landscape-based
representative and project specialist for ecotourism development in the
Katingan- Kahayan Landscape in Central
Kalimantan. This is including organize all local meetings, workshops,
surveys, support project implementation, and ensure fluid communication
between the landscape and international teams. S/he will also work to
raise awareness of the project in Central Kalimantan,
and inform key stakeholders in the private, public and civil sectors
about how they can participate.
Requirements
include minimum diploma or bachelor degree in a relevant field of
study; preferably has 2 years of demonstrated program management and
community engagement in Central
Kalimantan; professional fluency in English and Indonesian; excellent
written and oral communication skills; experience in community
participatory planning, surveys, data collection and monitoring; has
knowledgeable of stakeholders in Central Kalimantan; experience
in facilitating meetings, solving logistical problems,
consensus-building, and making clear, transparent and timely decisions;
resident in Central Kalimantan with drivers’ license; preferably has
experience in ecotourism development, tourism private sector
or local government; familiarity with USAID procedures and regulations.
