JAKARTA

1.     Communication Officer - ACCCRN Final Learning Event
The Communication Officer will be responsible to develop a clear communications strategy and work with consultants to successfully implement the strategy.  This position also needs to coordinate with Mercy Corps Indonesia Communications Department.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in Communication, Media and Public Reach, with a proven track record of successful packaging of communication materials to multiple audiences. Prior experience in the international development field preferred;
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in communication, journalism, public relations, and/or similar field;
  • Fluency in English verbal and written communication is mandatory;
  • Strong writing and editing skills, both in Bahasa and in English;
  • Have a wide network, in particular with media;
  • Able to provide inputs on media and communication strategy.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Fully computer literate and tech savvy, knowledge of design, video and photo-editing software an advantage.
This position will be hired as temporary staff for 6 Months.

2.     Project Officer - ACCCRN Final Learning Event
The Project Officer will be responsible to organize the event venue logistics and to arrange/work with a vendor to arrange participants’ travel. In addition, the Project Officer will function as the point person for participants.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Indonesia climate change initiatives and/or urban development;
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in international development, communications, public relations, environmental sciences and/or similar field;
  • Fluency in English verbal and written communication is mandatory;
  • Experience of project administration, planning and budgeting;
  • Good report-writing skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel are mandatory.
  • Familiarity with development of city government planning is a plus.
  • Familiarity in Semarang Area.
This position will be hired as temporary staff for 6 Months.

3.     National and Corporate Partnership Officer – ACCCRN
The National and Corporate Partnership Officer will be responsible to organize and conduct national workshops/meetings on Urban Climate Change Resilience (UCCR) to coordinate UCCR works, seeking funding opportunity, and to mainstream climate change into relevant sectors. Working closely with national stakeholders (government and private sector) to mainstream UCCR and maintaining engagement and approach government structure at different levels, including the city team/city governments to channel additional resources and ensuring success in ACCCRN implementation and its sustainability.

He/She also will conduct policy analysis related to climate change adaptation and its mainstreaming potential to development policy, contribute to the Indonesia Climate Alliance efforts and other relevant forums, Develop private sector climate change adaptation actors and practices database, Maintaining communication with national and private sectors, Contribute to the preparation of program reports, and also Assist in any other tasks or duties assigned by the Project Coordinator, Urban Director, Program Director, or Country Director that are related to funding opportunity in climate change projects/programs, liaison duty both nationally and internationally, and other climate change works that is needed to ensure success in delivering program objectives.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Indonesia climate change initiatives and/or urban development ;
  • Experience in networking and project implementation, and documentation related to Indonesian climate change issues, and Indonesian government climate change initiatives and actors;
  • BA/S or higher in public policy, environmental or social sciences, urban planning/development, or similar field.
  • Fluency in English verbal and written communication is essential;
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel are mandatory.
This position will be hired as temporary staff for 5 Months.
