The Micronutrient
Initiative (MI) is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
dedicated to ensuring that the world’s most vulnerable – especially women and
children in developing countries – get the vitamins and minerals they
need to survive and thrive. With headquarters in Ottawa, Canada MI maintains
regional offices in New Delhi, India and Dakar, Senegal that manages our
country offices in Asia and Africa.
MI
would now like to know about the effectiveness of the existing Behaviour Change Communication
(BCC) on the Zinc and ORS for childhood diarrhoea treatment as well as availability of IEC materials,
specifically in West Nusa Tenggara. MI is also interested in identifying gaps
which can then inform program.
In this regard,
MI seeks local consultant to conduct a review on the
government’s existing Behaviour Change Intervention and materials, collect and
provide recommendation for modification and modify the IEC material to emphasize on capacity building of health
staff to favourably improve the knowledge and behaviour change among both
providers and caregivers which emerged out as the key strategy to bring about a
positive change in treatment seeking and utilization rates in Indonesia.

Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree in public health, nutrition, communication or related fields.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in the field of public health, communication and preferably on on behavior change intervention program.
- Experience with Zinc and ORS for Childhood Diarrhoea Treatments is preferable.
- Competent in written and spoken English.
- Has advance skill in computer and internet (i.e. Ms Office, Photoshop, etc)
- Previous experience working with MI is an asset
