Kartika Soekarno Foundation Job Vacancy: Research Assistant - Jakarta

Kartika Soekarno Foundation (KSF) is looking for Research Assistant to join baseline study for new initiative Posyandu Revitalization in Jakarta. The KSF founded in 1998 (when Southeast Asian economic occured crisis) to support local health and education initiatives in good governance, community participation and building local capacity to improve the quality and coverage of health and education services for the districts community.

Since 2004, KSF has collaborated with local government district and private sectors to revitalize 255 community health center (called Posyandu) in 5 districts; Solok (West Sumatra), Kebumen (Central Java), Blitar (East Java), Gresik (East Java) and Gianyar (Bali). Now supported by Embassy of Australian, KSF work closely with Central Jakarta Government District are going to revitalize another 22 Posyandus in Central Jakarta.

Key Responsibilities
While a research assistant is expected to contribute in many ways to the research project, typical responsibilities include the following:
  • Under supervised of Program Manager, prepare form for data input, 
  • Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project,
  • Recruit and/or interview subjects,
  • Collect, summarize interviews and verify data from all researchers, and
  • Support Program Manager to analyze data and summarize project results.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by individual researchers.  Work days must be discussed with the Program Manager to ensure that the work priorities can be accomplished in the 25 days (less than 1 month).

Skills and Qualifications
Student or graduate from Health, Nutrition or Social Science discipline and have experiences in using qualitative or quantitative.
