Overview:
ZSL Indonesia Programme is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced
individual at a senior level to lead its growing landscape focused work
in Indonesia. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an innovative
and adaptable individual with proven experience in leading a
multi-disciplinary team, to deliver quality and high impact results in a
development and conservation setting.
Expected results from the work being undertaken includes the Integration of biodiversity and development into integrated landscape management; creating an evidence base for biodiversity and development integration for improved landscape management to be used by decision makers in the landscape to influence environmental and social practices. The post-holder will report to the Country Manager of Indonesian and will manage a team of staff based at our Head office in Bogor, Java and in our field project in Sumatra.

- Oversee thematic programme management, development and administration.
- Lead the relationship with project partners, stakeholders and donors.
- Lead the production of strategies for programme development and grant reporting.
- Liaise with the programme team to coordinate cross-Society programme activities.
- Support the external representation and promotion of ZSL and its conservation work.
Person Specification:
The post-holder should have a proven track record in integrated
development and conservation project management in Asia with and
relevant experience dealing with large scale projects and large scale
donor management and/ or a higher degree in an appropriate subject such
as conservation biology, environmental economics,
conservation/development policy or a related discipline. Candidates

- Demonstrated understanding of DFID programming and policy.
- Experience in biodiversity or development program strategic planning, project/activity design, management and evaluation.
- Proven understanding of integrated landscape management and conservation issues in Asia
- Experience working in the region is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Management experience particularly of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proven grant management skills.
