Save the Children Vacancy: Regional Office seeks Advocacy Manager - Indonesian

Around the world Save the Children operates in 121 countries, in 7 Regional Hubs in Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia.  We are currently looking for a motivated, successful and experienced Advocacy Manager to work on the protection of “Children on the Move” in Southeast Asia.

Save the Children defines Children on the Move as “Those children moving for a variety of reasons, voluntarily or involuntarily, within or between countries, with or without their parents or other primary caregivers, and whose movement, while opening up opportunities, might place them at risk (or at an increased risk) of inadequate care, economic or sexual exploitation, abuse, neglect and violence”

The Advocacy Manager for the protection of “Children on the Move” will focus most of his/her work on the migration corridor Bangladesh/Myanmar → Thailand/Malaysia/Indonesia

Location: the post holder will be expected to be based in Southeast Asia

Advocacy Manager

(6 Months Consultancy, preferably home based within the Southeast Asia region)

ROLE PURPOSE:
As a member of the Asia Campaigns and Advocacy team, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership, vision, strategic direction and management of the Save the Children advocacy work on Children on the Move in Southeast and East Asia.
