MCA - Indonesia Vacancy: Manager, Commercial Renewable Energy - Jakarta

Millennium Challenge Account - Indonesia (MCA-Indonesia) is a trustee institution that represents the Government of Indonesia to implement a five-year (2013-2018) Millennium Challenge Corporation's Compact Program, a major pillar of the United States-Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership and the largest single pledge made by the United States to Indonesia to date.

MCA-Indonesia has three projects under Compact Program: Green Prosperity, Community-based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting and Procurement Modernization. Our projects are designed, managed and implemented by Indonesians, for the Indonesian people. Our most important development work happens where it should be: the districts and the villages.

To reach the goal, MCA-Indonesia is seeking highly dynamic and deliverable-oriented professionals for a better Indonesia:

MANAGER, COMMERCIAL RENEWABLE ENERGY

The Manager will assist the Associate Director in preparation, execution, supervision and monitoring of Green Prosperity’s [GP] Window 3b Projects placed under her/his responsibility, and its funding facilities, specifically the implementation of Commercial Renewable Energy [RE].

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the Associate Director [AD], the Manager is responsible for the management and administration of Commercial RE to ensure that GP projects funded under the grant effectively contribute the GP objectives, and the grant funding in the amount of USD 90 million is judiciously used to implement project activities. This includes: 
  • Reports progress and the quality of GP projects implementation and activities and disbursement to AD drawing on Program Management Consultant (PMC) reporting tools for administering and monitoring project implementation. 
  • Escalates changes or deviations in project activities that can severely compromise the success of GP projects, and recommend management actions to the AD for decisions and follow through.
  • Works together with the Grant Admin Support Team (GAST) and PMC, manages and monitors compliance of the intake and execution of grant activities in accordance with GP Operation Manual and the Grant Manual in line with Fiscal Accountability Principles (FAP) and Cost Principles of the MCC, and follows the guidance and direction of GP Investment Committee and Majelis Wali Amanat (MWA).
