The Forest Trust Job Vacancy: Biodiversity Specialist - Jakarta Or Semarang

TFT is a global non-profit organization that helps companies and communities Deliver Responsible Products. We act on the ground in forests, farms and factories to help create products that respect the environment and improve people's lives. The position is full-time and based in either TFT’s Jakarta or Semarang office with frequent travel required.

To support our projects to deliver Responsible Products, we are urgently seeking a qualified, hardworking and motivated person to fulfill position as follow:

Biodiversity Specialist
Reports to : TFT Program Manager
Work Location : Jakarta or Semarang Office

Function:

• The Biodiversity Specialist will be a member of the TFT Team, and focus on biodiversity issues related to forests, farms, mills and palm oil estate management in Indonesia. 
• The Biodiversity Specialist must be comfortable to train company staff (both at HQ and field levels) on the implementation of High Conservation Value (HCV). Strong writing skills are also required, as the position will involve writing reports and proposals for TFT business and donor clients.
• The Biodiversity Specialist will also be expected to support the management of stakeholder relations between TFT and Indonesian non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Strong spoken and written skills in Indonesian and English are a plus.

Responsilities :

• Prepare blue print for each project and combine with any resources to have optimum output.
• Prepare strategic movement with all stakeholder to reach succession on project.
• Prepare project framework according to TFT indonesia action plan and goals.
• Prepare and Conduct trainig for client and internal TFT to reach international standard.
• Assesing Biodiversity system function at client and prepare for any improvement needed.
• Conduct HCV system studies in sites and implement for mentoring to proceed the system has been build.
• Prepare report for internal and external audiences base on project.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Bahasa.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in any major.
• Minimum 7 Years working experience handling biodiversity specially forests, farms, mills and palm oil estate management.
• Deep understanding in Conservation Planning and any adequate Knowledge of HCV.
• Demonstrate strong Statistical analysis and GIS system.
• Have good knowledge in handling certification of forests, farms, mills and palm oil estate management.
• Have good knowledge in law and regulation in Natural Resources.
