Tetra Tech ARD is currently
accepting expressions of interest for the Communication Strategy Specialist,
Jakarta based, on our USAID LESTARI project. USAID’s LESTARI project supports
the Government of Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and
conserve biodiversity in carbon rich and biologically significant forest and
mangrove ecosystems.
Job Summary: The Communication
Strategy Specialist will responsible
for the effective design and implementation of a broad range of communications
that result in a call to action to mobilize LESTARI landscape government,
private sector and civil society leaders to take aggressive action in support
of climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation. Communications will
involve multi-stakeholder forums (MSFs) developed in the landscape and opinion
leaders. Tailored to local opportunities and constraints, communications will
involve a diversity of traditional, social and locally-driven media as well as
innovative approaches.
Qualifications include experience with progressive
responsibility in communications, including but not limited to advocacy
campaigns; communications strategy development and implementation; preferably working
for an international environmental and/or climate change organization; familiarity
with USAID procedures and regulations or other donor projects; and demonstrated
ability to play a leadership role working on a multi-disciplinary team.
University degree in related field required.
