For our Sustainable
Cocoa Production Program (SCPP) in Indonesia, we are looking for two:
PR & Communication Officers (Graphic Design)
- 1 (one) position for Sumatera (based in Medan)
- 1 (one) position for Sulawesi region (based in Makassar)
SCPP is a large Public Private Partnership Development Program in Indonesia which has started in January 2012. The Program is financed by the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, the Sustainable Trade Initiative IDH, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, International Fund for Agricultural Developmen (IFAD), the Millenium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCA-I), and leading Private Companies from the cocoa sector including ADM Cocoa, BT Cocoa, Barry Callebaut, Cargill, Ecom, Mars, Mondeléz, and Nestlé. The Program works between 2012 - 2018 directly with 90,000 cocoa farming households in 29 within 6 Indonesian Provinces to improve farm productivity, environmental, and livelihood conditions.

Overall Task
PR & Communication Officer is provide assistance to Senior Officer of Grapic Design (based in Country Office, Jakarta) in implementing SCPP project strategy at the designated area. The role of this position is, in the most effective and efficient manner, to illustrate the policies, interests and achievement of the program towards donors and private sectors, GOI, the beneficiaries, decision makers, public and related stakeholders through various forms of creative highgest technical quality design and media platforms.
Task, Authority, and Responsibility
Graphic Designer
· Under consultative supports from the Superior, design and develop the program supporting materials for capacity build training, success stories & biannual reports;
· Under consultative supports from Superior design and deveop, public relations materials and media campaigns, including banners, posters, booklets, brochures, leaflets and other promotional materials that are of the highest technical quality and illustrate the activity of the program;
· Ensure content and common set of corporate brandings through design on various media platforms such as signboard, certificate, ID Card, business card etc;
· Prepare audio/ visual presentation to support text and graphics presentation and public talk for program management in cooperation with the Superior;
· Maintain company website up to date and supervise editing of articles;
· Produce, choose, file, and organize high quality photos from the program activities, to be used in the program promotion material and reports;
Administration Tasks
· Responsible for SCPP publication inventory; maintain and improve photo banks;
· Manage good relations with private companies and individuals related to the implementation of the program's public relations and marketing activities, such as printing companies, venue owners (for events/conferences), design consultants etc;
· Support the superior to supervise implementation of public relations and marketing activities and ensure compliance with the standards expected by the program;
Communication, Supervision, and Reporting
· Support and write newsletters, press releases and information about the program to a high standard for internal and external publishing;
· Reports directly to Senior Officer for Graphic Design and maintain daily team coordination with the team members;
· Represent the Public Relation Team to a range of program partners, donors, development agencies, and other stakeholders;
· Liaise with the program's Government Relations Officer on all conference/event related issues;
· Liaise with program partner organizations, local government offices, and other stakeholders on matters related to public relations and the marketing of the program, including where appropriate, cooperation on joint events;
Duties applicable to all staff
· Actively work towards the achievement of the Program's goals;
· Abide by and work in accordance with the Swisscontact Code of Conduct;
· Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Superior.
Workplace
The main workplaces are located in the Program regional offices in Medan and Makassar but flexibility is expected from the employees for tasks to be conducted outside the employment locations. This position requires frequent travel through rural areas to Program sites, as refer in the information of place of duty above.
Employee Requirements
· At least 3 years experience of expertise in Graphic Design and multimedia, developing public relations and marketing materials (samples required upon receipt of resume);
· Experience in event and conference management for large government and/or multi-national events;
· Experience working in inter-cultural teams and environments;
· Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality outputs on time in a tight schedule;
· Good interpersonal skills and commitment to working in a team;
· Advance capacity in writing and spoken in English;
· Specialization in design software including Adobe family like Photoshop version 5 and above, Adobe Illustrator/InDesign, Adobe Acrobat professional and Microsoft Office 2010 (including Microsoft Publisher) is required. Detailed knowledge of CorelDraw X12 is preferred;
· Experience in photography for event and design needs;
· Basic audio and video editing skills;
· Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications.
