VACANCY - Software Developer: Power RAMS Specialist
Cardno
is contracted through the DFAT Australian Aid funded IndII program to
develop Road Asset Management software (RAMS) for the Directorate
General of Highways. Under Stage 1 of the services the software was
successfully developed and is now being introduced to selected regions.
We are seeking an IT specialist to provide technical support to RAMS
users, manage data upload and support beta testing refinements.
The
appointee will have significant Excel program development experience
including use of macros in a complex data management environment, will
be fully familiar with structured query language applications (SQL),
will have an interest in pavement engineering and road asset maintenance
and be prepared to commit to a career in these disciplines. He or she
must also have aptitude as a trainer in use of the software.
An
intensive training program will be provided at the commencement of the
services. This has the potential to be a career position for the right
candidate. The successful candidate is likely to have a degree in
Highway or Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with an interest in or
preferably an additional IT qualification. The appointment will require
travel throughout Indonesia.
The Task Description
The
appointee will assist Balai staff by providing technical support for
RAMS, managing data upload to a cloud based server, and supporting beta
testing refinements to the Program. He or she will support the NR
Delivery team in running data queries designed to develop the system and
in writing and maintaining macros and other software refinements in
association with the software developer.
Duration of assignment: 80 days (with possible extension)
Expected commencement: Early September 2015
Educational background: Minimum holder of Strata 1 (S-1) in Civil Engineering
Experience:
Candidates should describe experience in software development for
engineering applications and/or in use of specialist Civil Engineering
or Geotechnical software. Proficiency in spoken and written English is
required.
