URGENTLY REQUIRED
The USAID project Prioritazing Reform, Innovation and Opportunities for Reaching Indonesia’s Teachers, Administrators, and Students (PRIORITAS)
is focusing on capacity building and quality improvements for teacher
training institutions (TTI) and for non-academic, pre-service teacher
training providers. PRIORITAS is building the capacity of schools and MoEC,
MORA national, provincial and district offices together with pre- and
in-service teacher
training organizations to coordinate,
plan and train.
On 2014, PRIORITAS has distributed varoious books to 550 PRIORITAS partner
schools and will distribute more books to 10,000 non PRIORITAS partner schools
starting 2015 until 2017.
The PRIORITAS is
currently seeking qualified individual to fill the position
of the
IT Specialist
These positions to be based in North
Sumatera
The IT Specialist's responsibilities may include:
- Perform IT Support that includes installing, configuring and maintaining province IT infrastructure and systems which include share internet access, network devices, file/database server, backup systems and other IT related support tasks.
- Maintain Project Server at provincial office
- Ensure Windows Server and other software are maintained and that patches are promptly applied.
- Ensure anti-virus signature file is kept current
- Ensure information is backed up and maintained in accordance with RTI policies and procedures
- Maintain spare parts and perform hardware repairs and restoration
- Supporting Windows PCs (Win 7 Pro / Microsoft Office 2010 )
- Ensure Windows and other software is maintained and that patches are promptly applied on computers in the local office.
- Ensure anti-virus software is installed and both the engine and signature files are kept current.
- Ensure information is backed up and maintained in accordance with RTI policies and procedures.
- Provide user support on hardware, networking and software related issues.
- Configuring and troubleshooting laptops / desktops / printers
- Installing network printers, network scanner and other networking devices
- Providing first level of support to the maintaining network infrastructure including ISP, router, and Ethernet switch.
- Ensure compliance with RTI Information Security policies, procedures and standards
- Work under the supervision of Provincial Coordinator for daily operations as well as under the supervision of Project IT Manager and/or RTI ITS Asia Pacific Regional Support Manager for any technical or compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or comparable formal education background
- Minimum of 3 years experiencing in installing/supporting/maintaining a wide range of IT infrastructure systems (Windows Servers, Windows PCs, Backups, Printers, Scanner, Voice, Recorders, etc) in provincial office
- PC and Server support experience
- Experience or basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008, MS Office 2007/2010, Win 7 Pro and McAfee anti-virus
- Good work ethic and strong desire to complete tasks in a timely manner as directed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in English
- Work well independently and in a team environment
