Background of the Project and Assignment
AIP-PRISMA is an agricultural development program which follows a Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach and will contribute to a 30% or more increase in net incomes for 300,000 poor female and male farmers. Its objective is to increase competitiveness of poor female and male farmers. It is working in a range of sub-sectors in collaboration with farmers, businesses, government and civil society partners to increase competitiveness of poor male and female farmers through (i) increased productivity; (ii) improved business performance; (iii) a growing share of an expanding market; and (iv) the continuous adoption of innovations that contribute to productivity, performance, and market growth. The project is working in five (5) provinces in Eastern Indonesia: East Java, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), West Papua and Papua.

To be able to reach a broad marketing maize seed, NTT Maize Team seek to strengthen partner to manage campaigns and marketing strategies of composite maize seed in a sustainable manner. PRISMA will strengthen the capacity of partner (seed producers, agents and retailers) through placing consultants (Supply Chain Assistance-SCA). The SCA will serve to assist partners in designing business plan development, promotion and campaigns, as well as the marketing of composite maize seed in a sustainable manner.
Scope of Services
The consultant will be required to undertake the following tasks in order to meet the objectives:
- Support the seed producer in developing market for OPV/Composite seed
- Conduct and coordinate overall promotional activities
- Facilitate business network and linkage with sales channel
- Support in capacity building of seed growers and distributor/retailers
- The assignment requires a consultant with the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor of education in the field of Economic, Management, Marketing, Business, or other relevant field.
- Have at least 5 years’ working experience (preferably in marketing or related field)
- Mastering in business planning, marketing strategy, as well as the distribution channels and marketing of products.
- Have a knowledge of the agriculture product.
