WWF-Indonesia urgently seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Law Enforcement and Wildlife Trade Specialist which will be based in Jakarta and report to Species Coordinator. The
position holder will be responsible to Develop research based
policy, and provide models and/or conservation expertise to
project/program within Law Enforcement and Wildlife Trade and in
accordance to the conservation strategy of WWF Indonesia; coordinate
and facilitate the intelligence led enforcement efforts of WWF
Indonesia and relevant law enforcement agencies in order to disrupt
wildlife crime, such as organized Tiger or other species illegal trade
in Indonesia, including on Tiger habitat landscapes in Sumatra
island.
This will include monitoring of the most strategic
Tiger/other species seizure cases in Indonesia and assisting to the
Indonesian government to address organized Tiger/ other species illegal
trade and follow up on the most strategic Tiger/other species seizures.
The position will also coordinate with TRAFFIC South East Asia office
to address trans border Tiger/other species illegal trade chains from
Sumatra to the end markets. Furthermore, he/she will need to support the
development and maintenance of wildlife crime database for WWF
Indonesia in the same format as TRAFFIC South East Asia and
work in close collaboration with regional and landscape teams in WWF
Indonesia and TRAFFIC regional office.

- Minimum working experience of three (3) years in a related field and similar capacity.
- Significant professional work experience relevant to law enforcement and/or nature conservation with emphasis on law enforcement, familiarity with major trends in biodiversity conservation policy
