RutgersWPF Indonesia is an organisation working on sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and sexual gender based violence (SGBV). We have a longstanding expertise in this field and work together with organisations in many other countries. RutgersWPF Indonesia consists of a dynamic team of 20 staff members. RutgersWPF Indonesia works together with many partner organizations in promoting SRHR and working on prevention of SGBV.

Terms of Reference Content Writer

Background

ASK program in Indonesia is part of a global program ASK which is run in 7 countries in Asia and Africa. ASK program is an innovative program aimed to marginal young people for the provision of information, health care, and involvement in policy-making related to reproductive health, sexuality, and human rights.

March 4 - 7, 2014 we entered into a basic communication strategy workshop invited 20 participants of the program implementing partners and also various communication experts. The findings of the workshop for 4 days is the whole community partners have been running a campaign to increase marginal adolescents access to information and services, but there are still many things that need to be improved the messages together in a national campaign and the overall integration of the campaign in various media.

The output of this workshop is the ASK program branding strategy in which partnerships have agreed to carry the "SOBAT ASK" as a branding program. Besides the partnership also agreed to develop a website that will be connecting various communication program implementing partners.

In 2014 the website has been developed to expand access to information and also facilitates the marginal adolescent peer educators to increase their capacity as educator’s adolescent reproductive health and sexuality.

To these needs, we identified the need for content writer will provide content for the website in adolescent issues, SRHR, and popular culture. Content writer will support the provision of content and accountable send writings to the website coordinator.

2.    Purpose of Content Writer

• Support the provision of content for Buddy Program ASK relevant and interesting to teens. 
• Resemble good SRHR content in the form for young people.

3.    Scope of Work

Will be work on the details of following:

• Writing and collect the appropriate planning of editorial content that already exists with the topic :

·         Sexual and Reproductive Health

·         Love

·         Lifeskill

·         Health

·         Diversity

·         Bad Habits

·         Wedding Children & KTD

·         Participation of Young People & Media

·         Health Services

·         Right

·         Violence

·         HIV & IMS

• Collect or translate content that is interesting and relevant for adolescents to Buddy program ASK

4.    Tangible outputs

a)   Content are written and ready to be published every month as amount 20 materials in accordance with the monthly theme set together before. This content will be distributed by RutgersWPF in media such as websites, social media, and other media owned by SOBAT ASK program partners.

b)    Monthly Reports of Content are submitted before the 7th of the following month, which was made together with web coordinator.

5.    Methodology

At the beginning, the content need to examine the terms of reference and a great concept program. After examining, filler content will be coordinated with the web coordinator.
In its work, the charger will coordinate with the web content coordinator and communication officer. The material will be made through the evaluation by the web coordinator and Communication Officer to distribute into the website material and social media.

6.    Expertise Required

a)    Experience in writing material popular website.

b)    Familiar with SRHR Issue and youth.

c)    Familiar with trend of content in the internet.

7.    Lini Period

Approximately 8 June, appointed candidate begin to work.

8.    Terms of Payment

Payment will be made every month after the content and reports received and approved by RutgersWPF Indonesia
