Provincial Coordinator

CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty that has been working in Indonesia since 1967. CARE seeks qualified candidates for an upcoming USAID-funded climate change adaptation program in Indonesia to strengthen climate and disaster resilience, working at national, provincial and local levels, including working directly with communities, local governments and the private sector. The program will focus on building capacity for integrating climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction into development planning. Successful candidates for the position of Provincial Coordinator will have a demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A degree in natural resources management, environmental science or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in climate change adaptation, climate vulnerability assessment, disaster risk reduction or a related field.
  • Experience working with donor-funded programs in Indonesia.
  • Experience working with local communities and local governments in Indonesia.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa required.
