Introduction
The
World Food Programme (WFP) is the United Nations’ frontline agency in
the fight against global hunger. WFP’s food assistance reaches more
than 90 million people in 75 countries
every year. It provides food support to populations in emergency
situations and helps people meet their own nutrition needs.
The
World Food Programme Indonesia Country Programme signed by the
Government of Indonesia reflects the dynamic transformation Indonesia is
undergoing today as an emerging middle
income country. It supports the Government's commitment to achieve food
and nutrition security for all, and is designed to enhance the
Government's capacity in three areas: (i) monitoring, analysing, mapping
and addressing food security; (ii) emergency preparedness
and response; and (iii) the reduction of under nutrition below critical
levels. By end of 2015, the current country programme will be completed
and we are currently developing a new portfolio for 2016-2020.
WFP
Indonesia seeks a highly motivated marketing professional to forge
partnership with the private sector and media in order to address
Indonesia’s nutrition and food security challenges.
World Food Programme Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:
Position: Communications and Private Sector Relations Officer
Post Category: National Professional Officer
Contract Type: Service Contract, 6 months renewable
Duty Station: Jakarta, Indonesia
Accountabilities: Within the assigned unit, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

Develop a strategy to promote the adoption of WFP’s activities include but not limited to:
- Assist nutrition team to organize multi-stakeholders workshop at the national and sub-national level
- Organize field visits to WFP programme locations
- Develop effective communications material to support the handover of WFP projects to the government such as instructional video for school feeding programme, printed materials, reports, etc
- Develop publications and visibility material;

Strengthen the relationship with current private sector partners;
·
Develop a strategy for additional strategic partnerships with private sector partners;
·
Brief management on partner policies/trends; alert management to issues affecting partnerships;
·
Assist
management to raise resources for the WFP programme; set up sales
pitches, negotiate partnerships; keep partners informed of key policy
and operational issues of importance to the programme;
submit funding proposals; and ensure that donor conditions are able to
be met;

Finalize the SOP for private sector fund raising in the immediate aftermath of natural disasters;
·
Facilitate internal/external communication;
·
Develop, manage and implement a media strategy including social media;
·
Coordinate
communications activities with relevant stakeholders (Government of
Indonesia, other UN agencies, private sector partners, CSO, etc.);
·
Manage third party vendors in executing communications related work.
·
Perform other related duties as required.
The
incumbent will receive technical support from the Communications and
Private Sector teams in the Regional Bureau in Bangkok. He/she will
report to the Country Director.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Education:
Advanced University degree or university degree in International
Relations, Communications, Business Administration or another relevant
filed of Social Sciences
Experience:
At least five years of progressively responsible experience of which at
least three years in the field of public information, donor relations
or other related field. Experience with a UN agency or international
organization
and working in a multi-cultural environment is an advantage.
Knowledge:
Training and/or experience in Social Media Campaign using Facebook Page
and Twitter account; utilizing computers including word processing,
design and video editing, spreadsheet and other software packages.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
