Sustainable Land Use Coordinator

We are the largest nature conservation NGO in Indonesia, which has started its activity since 1962. Currently, we have 28 offices, from Aceh to Papua and has a total of more than 400 staff. Since 2006, our organization supported by more than 54,000 supporters from all over the archipelago.

We are currently seeking a highly qualified, experienced candidate, who has reputable qualifications for:Sustainable Land Use Coordinator based in Jambi, which will be responsible to develop and coordinate the activities of WWF Indonesia - which is related to land use planning and development in the Bukit Tigapuluh Landscape to promote the establishment of sustainable forest management, "sustainable livelihood" and increase the community's role in the security and protection of forest resources. Officer hold this position has the task to design, develop and implement activities to support sustainable land use and conservation of sustainable forest management.

The results of these activities will contribute to the "Conservation Management" and "Sector Reform" intervention strategies that exist in the WWF-Indonesia's Strategic Plan.

Requirements for This Position are: 
  • Bachelor Degree from Forestry, Environmental Sciences or Social Welfare. 
  • 5 Years Experiences in forestry and community empowerment 
  • Experience in cooperating with local governments (Regency level and Provincial level), NGO, Academic Institutions, Research Institution and Forestry Industries 
  • A good understanding of Forest Resources Management which include understanding of resources utilization to empower communities, HCVF sustainable forest management, ability to prepare, write and presenting report, good skill in negotiation and facilitation
