Seeking Individual Consultant to design
BCC materials through different media channels for CODIVA Fundasaun in Timor Leste
REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Islands of Southeast Asia Network on Male and
Transgender Sexual Health (ISEAN) and the Humanist Institute for Co-operation
with Developing Countries (Hivos) jointly implemented the ISEAN Hivos Program
supported by Global Fund Round 10. This program has the main goal of reducing the risks, vulnerability and impact of HIV and AIDS on
the lives of MSM and transgender community in Island Southeast Asia Nations. It
intends to address critical gaps in
supporting and scaling up activities that reduce HIV/AIDS among MSMs and TGs.
Hivos, as the Principal Recipient of the grant under the ISEAN-Hivos Program Global Fund Round 10 is
now on its Phase 2 of implementation from October, 2013 to September, 2016. Fundasaun CODIVA (formerly known as ISEAN Hivos Program Satellite
Office), is the implementing institution of IHP located in Timor Leste.
In this regard, it is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified Individual
Consultant for designing layout of BCC materials for country level.
Specifically,
the following will be provided by the Consultant
to address the Grant’s requirements
(1)
Meeting with PR
PMU staff to discuss the result of Community Consultation which has been done
in Timor Leste.
(2)
Do a review of
existing HIV-BCC related materials draft in Timor Leste that resulted from the
Community Consultation
(3)
Come up with several
alternatives design for each material (posters, notebook, brochure, and
sticker)
(4)
Do a final clean up of the developed selected BCC materials after
Stakeholders’ consultation in Timor Leste (MoH, TL Health Promotion, etc)
Key
Qualifications:
- Experienced in desktop publishers, publications, graphic communication, arts or design.
- Established and demonstrated expertise (with a strong portfolio) in visual design and layout for NGO or development contexts.
- Familiarity with HIV- AIDS related BCC materials.
- Preferably familiar with the MSM and Transgender issues, particularly in Timor Leste.
- Excellent spoken and written English, Tetum, and/or Bahasa Indonesia
- Preferably based Timor Leste.
