Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) Job Vacancy: Program Officer, Jakarta

Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN), the local network of United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is a vibrant not-for-profit organization advocating the 10 principles of the Global Compact among Indonesia’s business communities, government, civil society organizations and the academics.

Launched in Jakarta on 8 April 2006 during the UNESCAP conference, to date, IGCN has 119 Signatories comprised of major companies in the country including multi-national corporations, SME, universities and Civil Society Organizations.

IGCN promotes business networking, collaborative project opportunities, as well as sharing of lessons learned and best practices in corporate social responsibility among its members and potential indicates.

Mission Promote, facilitate and implement the UN Global Compact principles in Indonesia.

The scope of the activities of the Program Officer includes:

  • Facilitating meetings and events to raise awareness and introduce the 10 Global Compact Principles, UN Guiding Principles, Children Rights and Business Principles, etc. to the IGCN members and the general public
  • Drafting 6-monthly newsletters and annual reports
  • Preparing program reports
  • Maintaining strategic partnerships and networking with members, partners and executing organizations
  • Maintaining close monitoring on the implementation of activities conducted by the executing organizations
  • Providing technical assistance to President and Board of Management of IGCN
Interested candidates for the position should have the following:
  • Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with a minimum 2 years experience in social development and project management
  • Max. 30 years old
  • Proven experience in and knowledge of CSR and the private sector
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of consistently meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level IT skills in designing reports
  • Competency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Self-motivated, driven and resourceful team player
  • Willing to travel
