KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organization
dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB), still the second most
deadly infectious disease in the world. KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation
has a strong reputation in national and international TB control. KNCV
is an international centre of expertise for TB control that promotes
effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control
strategies in a national and international context. We are an
organization of passionate TB professionals, including doctors,
researchers, training experts, nurses and epidemiologists. We aim to
stop the spread of the worldwide epidemic of TB and to prevent the
further spread of drug-resistant TB. As a non-profit international
organization, KNCV is active in over 40 countries in Europe, Africa,
Latin America and Asia. The central office is located in The Hague, The
Netherlands. KNCV Indonesia consists of a dynamic team of over 90 staff
members working in 10 provinces in Indonesia, all to help combat
tuberculosis in Indonesia in close cooperation with the Ministry of
Health.
Challenge TB
KNCV is the lead partner in Challenge TB (CTB), the new USAID-funded 5-year global program to decrease TB mortality and morbidity in high burdened countries. We lead an international consortium with eight partner organizations: American Thoracic Society (ATS), Family Health International (FHI 360), Interactive Research & Development (IRD), Japanese Anti Tuberculosis Foundation (JATA), Management Sciences for Health (MSH), Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), and the World Health Organization. The overarching strategic objectives of Challenge TB are to improve access to quality patient centred care for TB, TB/HIV, and MDR-TB services; to prevent transmission and disease progression; and to strengthen TB platforms.

Technical Officer Universal Access (2 posts)
Duty Station: Representative Office, Jakarta
The Technical Officer – Universal Access will be responsible to provide technical assistance to the National TB Program to ensure the implementation of universal access to appropriate TB treatment are in line with the national standards and achieve the targets. The Technical Officer is also expected to provide qualified technical assistance to NTP to ensure that program directions are in line with the National Strategic Plan.

Technical Officer Universal Access (2 posts)
Duty Station: Representative Office, Jakarta
The Technical Officer – Universal Access will be responsible to provide technical assistance to the National TB Program to ensure the implementation of universal access to appropriate TB treatment are in line with the national standards and achieve the targets. The Technical Officer is also expected to provide qualified technical assistance to NTP to ensure that program directions are in line with the National Strategic Plan.
The job holder will be expected to work with his/her supervisor in developing draft of work plan. S/he also expected to collaborate with project management unit for budgets preparation and monitor the implementation of the activities in a technically qualified manner, as well as to collaborate with Strategic Information and Knowledge Management unit in ensuring accuracy and reliability data of the program including the project report.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Provide technical assistance to NTP and IMA for implementation of certification for GP, including model development, small-scale implementation, documentation and recommendation for further scale up.
• Provide technical assistance to professional associations and private providers for implementing the secondary care model
• Provide technical guidance to CTB provincial team to ensure all TB control effort in district/sub-district level should be integrated to PPM implementation. Models of implementation will be documented as best practices for further scale-up
• Monitor implementation of approved activities under his/her responsibility and ensure achievement of its expected outputs
• Supervise and monitor the overall technical implementation of Universal Access related Challenge TB work plans in the supported operational areas in close coordination with the respective Provincial Coordinator and Dinas Kesehatan.
• Identify problems, advise on necessary corrective actions, follow-up on these actions, and prepare brief visit reports on findings and recommendations.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Medical Doctor, preferably with relevant master degree from reputable university
• Experience in TB Control/programmed management for at least 2 years
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, team player
• Coaching Skills
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent English skills, oral and written.
