Position Title: Program Officer (Clean Stove Initiative)
Location: Central Java - exact location TBC
Reports to: Program Manager
Start date: March 2015
Duration: 9 months with possibility of extension
ABOUT KOPERNIK

THE POSITION
The role will work on a pilot project which is part of the Indonesian Clean Stove Initiative which aims to make cleaner cooking options available to Indonesian families through a network of Tech Agents. Tech Agents are local entrepreneurs who sell life-changing technologies - in this case, fuel efficient cookstoves, within their communities, earning a margin from each sale.

- Develop strong relationships with Kopernik’s local partners in Central Java.
- Develop and implement a recruitment and retention plan for Tech agents.
- Develop a sales and marketing strategy.
- Provide training on product knowledge, record keeping and financial skills to sales agents.
- Work with Kopernik and its partners on developing and implementing a marketing campaign to increase stove sales.
- Develop and agree on sales targets with each Tech agent and support them to meet these targets.
- Ensure receipts are being fully completed and collected.
- Collect, analyse and report data on sales and targets.
- Actively identify new markets and potential new customers for Tech agents and assist them to pursue these opportunities.
- Facilitate market development activities and events to raise consumer awareness of the clean cookstoves.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian.
- Background in sales and marketing.
- Direct work experience with small businesses in Indonesia with a focus on marketing and distribution.
- Prior experience in marketing or distribution of clean energy technologies preferred.
- Experience in organising and delivering business and sales trainings and other promotional activities.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Impact and data focused.
- Strong teamwork and motivational skills and ability to build rapport with small business owners.
- A can-do and collaborative mind set – comfortable with the ambiguities and demands of a rapidly evolving work environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- High energy levels.

- Willingness to travel, a lot.
