IMPAQ International, LLC is seeking a long-term, full time Communications Specialist for an anticipated 5-year, USAID-funded project in Indonesia. The Monitoring and Evaluation Support Project (MESP) has three (3) objectives:
  • To provide USAID/Indonesia and other stakeholders an unbiased, data-driven account of USAID/Indonesia's progress toward achieving the development objectives outlined in the Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS); 
  • To provide expert evaluation and analytical services; and
  • To guide USAID/Indonesia in using performance information and the results of evaluation and analysis.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of a project-wide Communications Strategy; 
  • Facilitation of information sharing and public outreach for between MEASURE project, USAID/BiH and implementing partners;
  • Coordination of social media initiatives, media affairs, and public events with the US Embassy, including monitoring the media, preparing press releases, and producing publicity materials; and
  • Close collaboration with Mission staff and implementing partners in developing and publicizing program impact in addition to building capacity in project communications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant subject areas including communications, public policy, public relations, etc.; Master's degree preferred; 
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in designing and implementing communication campaigns for development projects, preferably in the Southeast Asia;
  • Prior experience with USAID or other donor-funded programs preferred;
  • Familiarity with M&E programming and technical jargon, including indicator development, data collection and analysis, data validation and audits, and performance reporting, a plus;
  • Knowledge of local social science centers, firms, and setting, a definite plus;
  • Strong facilitation, networking, and team management skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication and outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated attention to details and expertise in organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Proven ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with staff members, visitors, and the general public;
  • Excellent English writing and speaking (S/4 and R/4 levels at least) skills; and
  • Indonesian citizenship.
