IMPAQ International, LLC is seeking a long-term, full time Statistician/Data Analyst for an anticipated 5-year, USAID-funded project in Indonesia. The Monitoring and Evaluation Support Project (MESP) has three (3) objectives:
  • To provide USAID/Indonesia and other stakeholders an unabiased, data-driven account of USAID/Indonesia's progress toward achieving the development objectives outlined in the Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS); 
  • To provide expert evaluation and analytical services; and
  • To guide USAID/Indonesia in using performance information and the results of evaluation and analysis.
Responsibilities:
  • Conducting statistical and econometric analysis of quantitative data collected for USAID/Indonesia program evaluation; 
  • Applying statistical and/or data management software package(s) to execute data processing and data analysis activities;
  • Performing qualitative analyses based on in-depth interviews or focus groups;
  • Supporting preparation of technical report for evaluation activities by providing programming support and analysis under the guidance of IMPAQ Indonesia and home office technical staff;
  • Assisting with sampling design, power calculation, and survey development;
  • Participate in building capacity of Mission staff, implementing partners, and other beneficiaries through training workshops on social science research methodologies, program evaluation designs, and performance management; and
  • Contribute information and assist in preparing project presentations and reports.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematics, Social Science, Public Policy or other related fields; 
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the social science research and preferably in academic setting or on donor-funded projects or grants;
  • Prior experience with sampling design and survey development preferred;
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or STATA;
  • Working knowledge of programing languages such as C or FORTRAN preferred;
  • Proven expertise in data management;
  • Demonstrated familiarity with qualitative analysis using NVIVO and/or other analysis packages preferred;
  • Prior experience with USAID or other donor-funded research and evaluation programs desired;
  • Demonstrated track record of successful collaborations with various counterparts, beneficiaries, and stakeholders, including government officials, USAID representatives, private sector associations, local universities, etc.;
  • Excellent ability to work independently and as a member of a team to deliver high quality deliverables;
  • Knowledge of local social science centers, firms, and setting, preferred;
  • Excellent English writing and speaking (S/4 and R/4 levels at least) as well as presentation skills; and
  • Indonesian citizenship.
